On Monday November 19th 2012, Operation Exito, Exito means Success, begins its work at World Culture High School in the Bronx, New York.  OE will implement its proven successful Intensive Treatment program outside of Puerto Rico for the first time.

Personnel has already begun working with school staff to prepare what promises to be an exciting program designed to achieve change and create success in the school.

As part of the work to be implemented 11th and 12th grade students from World Culture High School will be participating in academic competitions designed to prepare them for their state exams in January and to identify one winner who will represent the school at OE’s international Magna Competition in Puerto Rico in December 2012. The Magna competition brings together OE students from Spain, Latin America, Puerto Rico and for the first time the United States to battle for $100,000 in scholarships and a trip to Australia.

In addition to the academic competitions OE will work with the segments of the entire school community in order to realize success in the standardized test scheduled for January, the results of which determines the ongoing viability of the school.

The OE team will share information as to the use of the educational tools available to students and teachers at the operationexito.com site; inform parents as to the importance and value of the standardized tests; motivate students to give their all for the ongoing success of their school; and, inspire community partners to become involved in the success of their school – converting World Culture High School into a true community school of excellence.
